Because of container cost, availability, and shipping, two 2.5 Gallon containers are actually lower price than one 5 Gallon container. Yes we know this is crazy. But for customers who really like the pour spout with a valve we still have the 5 gallon container available.

In general, if you are an infrequent user and/or only want 120 gallons or less at a time then your better option is usually to purchase 1-2 pallets of 5 gallon bulk containers or pails rather than a 55 gallon drum of maple syrup.
