Celebrate CRISTEL®'s rich cookware heritage with the 1826® Stainless Steel Stockpot. Inspired by the world's first stamped saucepan, created at the CRISTEL factory in Fesches-le-Châtel, Burgundy, France, the 1826® collection pays tribute to nearly two centuries of French cookware craftsmanship, innovation, and design.
The stockpot features a distinctive tapered shape inspired by its historic predecessor. Its three-layer, induction-compatible heat-diffusing base combines induction stainless steel, aluminum, and 18/10 stainless steel to provide rapid, even heat distribution for consistent cooking.
The brushed stainless steel body offers excellent durability and temperature retention when serving. Ergonomic handles are securely riveted to the body and designed to provide a comfortable, secure grip while minimizing heat transfer. The polished stainless steel handles create an elegant contrast against the brushed finish.
The rounded borosilicate glass lid helps retain moisture and heat while allowing food to be monitored during cooking. The stainless steel knob provides comfortable handling, and the glass lid is heat-resistant up to 400°F, making it suitable for covered oven cooking.

Cooking & Care Instructions:
Once the desired cooking temperature is reached, reduce the heat source to prevent overheating. When cooking with gas, ensure the flame does not extend beyond the thermodiffuser base.
For fat-free cooking, preheat the stainless steel cookware until drops of water form tiny, rolling bubbles. Reduce the heat by approximately one-third before adding food. For low-temperature cooking, use very little water and cook gently with the lid on to minimize evaporation.
When boiling, add salt after the water begins to boil and ensure it dissolves completely.
CRISTEL stainless steel cookware with detachable components is oven-safe up to 550°F. The included borosilicate glass lid is oven-safe up to 400°F. Avoid thermal shock by preventing sudden transitions between very hot and very cold temperatures.
