Brand: Tandi's Naturals
Product Description
Tandi’s Naturals concentrated, tallow laundry soap continues to be our very best selling product. (Read the reviews to see why!)
This tallow laundry soap is handmade by taking Lancaster County tallow soap and grating it. Next, it is powdered with earth-friendly and effective cleaning aids to make an eco-friendly laundry soap that will leave your clothes clean with a delicate scent (or you can try the unscented version).
This tallow laundry detergent is not suitable for washing wool or silk fabrics, but it is amazing for clothing for the whole family, including babies.
We’ve tried so many “natural” laundry detergents only to discover that they don’t really work. This one does. Tandi’s is the best natural laundry detergent for baby clothes and cloth diapers. It is suitable for regular and HE washers.
How to Use Tandi’s Naturals Tallow Laundry Soap:
- To reduce packaging waste and make this soap more wallet-friendly, we offer a high-quality jar of laundry soap that can be subsequently filled with a refill version.
- The jar of soap washes 41 regular loads and 82 HE loads, and the refill washes 38 regular loads and 77 HE loads.
- Do not use with chlorine bleach (but you already know that chlorine bleach is bad stuff, right?).
All Tandi’s Naturals products are 100% natural, and ingredients are locally sourced from Lancaster, PA. Never tested on animals.

I LOVE this detergent! I don’t like scented things, but I love the mild scent (citrus) of this soap. It doesn’t linger, it just smells clean. I also love that I’m not throwing away a giant plastic bottle each month.

Fabulous laundry soap! Clothes come out clean, and it works great in cold washes too. The lavender scent is nice but doesn’t last very long. This is now the only laundry soap I’ll use, and I plan on sending some to family as gifts.

Is it safe for septics?

Does this work well with cold water washes? I’ve found powders don’t always work great in cold cycles.
Suzanne Weaver-Goss –
Hi Emily,
I do most of my wash in cold water and I find that it works. It’s an old fashioned soap so it works well even in cold water which is all many had in the old days!

I haven’t tried this yet but am looking forward to it. Couple of wuick questions, if I subscribe can I cancel if it doesn’t work for me? And if I get a jar and scoop with my subscription (check that option) that’s only for the 1st shipment, right?
Maia James –
Hey Julie!
Yes, you can cancel any time as long as it hasn’t shipped. And yes, you won’t get a jar each month–only the first one:).

It is a very excellent product! Wow!?

I didn’t work as good as I expected it to work. I love that it is all natural but it doesn’t do a good job cleaning steins from poopy and from my baby’s vitamin. Every time I get the clothes out of the washer I wonder if they were actually cleaned. Kind of upset I bought the whole jar (not very cheap also).
Andrea Lamont –
So my poor baby has extremely sensitive skin. I used to use econuts soap berries for about two years until we went to my husbands parents cabin. We went to the river and I washed our clothes after. I opened the washer and it smelled like our clothes had never been washed (it was the first time I truly wondered if our clothes were actually being cleaned). So I switched over to stupid Honest Co laundry detergent and that’s when he began developing bad eczema. I don’t want to have to buy laundry detergent separate from the baby. Will this work on our clothes too (heavily soiled clothes from exercise)?

Glad I could leave this review, considering the negative review I had to leave for Tandi’s dish soap. The laundry soap rocks! It is all natural (from what I can tell), cleans and brightens, completely dissolves, and smells great. It smells so good, that when I do laundry the scent fills my entire apartment with that naturally clean smell. I can’t say enough good things about Tandi’s laundry soap!

I meant to give my last rating five stars! Sorry!
