My kids have played with these since babyhood (CHEWED on them in fact), and other than a slight natural rubber smell, there is no odor (and I have a sensitive nose). Something is wrong if the one you got smells that bad--please get in touch so we can fix it. -Maia

I laughed a bit when I read the reviews about a bad odor on these because I assumed it was the natural rubber smell that can be unpleasant. It isn’t, there is something seriously wrong with the little crab bath toy I ordered. It smells so strong that I put it in a ziplock bag and the next day the smell permeated the bag so I put that bag inside another sealed gallon bag and the smell went through that as well. Not just a little, enough to make my entire office smell fragrant while it is now inside THREE plastic bags! I am now concerned that I even touched this thing. I have lots of natural rubber items and this is not a natural rubber smell I think it must be a bad lot or something.
