Discover the heritage of CRISTEL® with the 1826® Stainless Steel Saucepan Set, inspired by the world's first stamped saucepan, manufactured at the CRISTEL factory in Fesches-le-Châtel, France, in 1826. The collection combines historic design details with modern cooking performance and French craftsmanship.
The distinctive tapered shape pays tribute to the original saucepan while providing compact, space-saving storage. Each saucepan features a three-layer induction-compatible heat-diffusing base made from induction stainless steel, aluminum, and 18/10 stainless steel for rapid and even heat distribution.
The 1-ply stainless steel body provides excellent durability and temperature retention when serving. Ergonomic, heat-resistant handles are securely riveted to each saucepan and designed to remain cooler on induction and glass-ceramic cooktops. Their polished stainless steel finish provides an elegant contrast to the brushed stainless steel body.

Cooking & Care Instructions:
Before first use, wash the cookware in very hot water with liquid dish soap, rinse thoroughly, and dry.
Once the desired cooking temperature is reached, reduce the heat source to prevent overheating. When cooking with gas, ensure the flame does not extend beyond the thermodiffuser base.
For fat-free cooking, preheat the stainless steel cookware until drops of water form tiny, rolling bubbles. Reduce the heat by approximately one-third before adding food.
For low-temperature cooking, use very little water and cook gently with the lid on to minimize evaporation. When boiling, add salt after the water begins to boil and ensure it dissolves completely.
CRISTEL stainless steel cookware with detachable components is oven-safe up to 550°F, while glass lids are oven-safe up to 400°F. Avoid thermal shock by preventing sudden transitions between very hot and very cold temperatures.
