Developed in collaboration with renowned Michelin-starred chefs, the CRISTEL Castel'Pro® Stainless Steel Stewpan delivers professional-level performance with a lightweight, durable design. Ideal for one-pot meals, roasting whole chickens, casseroles, and hearty stews, the stewpan is available in three sizes.
Strength Without the Weight
Patented ULTRAPLY® Light technology combines durable 5-ply construction with a lightweight design for easy handling in the kitchen. The 5-ply structure features an aluminum core that provides exceptional thermal efficiency, even heat distribution, and reduced hot spots. The responsive cooking surface heats and cools quickly for precise stovetop temperature control.
Ergonomic Stay-Cool Handle
The solid stainless steel athermic handle is securely attached to the pan body with stainless steel rivets. Designed to minimize heat retention, the ergonomic handle provides a comfortable and secure grip during cooking.
Designed for Gentle Cooking
ULTRAPLY® Light technology supports gentle cooking methods, including fat-free and low-temperature cooking. These techniques can help maintain the texture, color, and natural qualities of ingredients while enhancing flavor.
Rounded Design for Sauces
The stewpan features a distinctive rounded shape that makes whisking and stirring easier. The design provides greater control when preparing smooth, delicate sauces and other recipes that require frequent stirring.
Cooking & Care Instructions
The CRISTEL multilayer construction is designed for optimal heat distribution. Once the desired cooking temperature is reached, reduce the heat source to prevent overheating. When cooking with gas, ensure the flame does not extend beyond the base of the cookware.
For fat-free cooking, preheat the stainless steel cookware until drops of water form tiny rolling bubbles. Reduce the heat by approximately one-third before adding food. Food may initially stick to the cooking surface but should release naturally as moisture develops.
For low-temperature cooking, use very little water and cook over gentle heat with the lid on to minimize evaporation. When boiling, add salt after the water begins to boil and ensure it dissolves completely.
CRISTEL stainless steel cookware with detachable components is oven-safe up to 550°F, while glass lids are oven-safe up to 400°F. Avoid thermal shock, such as transferring cookware directly between very cold and very hot temperatures.
