Recommended for targeted testing of tannins in drinking water. Tannins are naturally occurring organic compounds commonly classified as fulvic or humic acids and lignins.
They form when vegetation is degraded and fermented, and then enter the water supply. This package is ideal for clients on well water–particularly those noticing yellow coloration, staining of fabrics, fixtures, and dishes.
Tannins can also impart a musty/earthy odor to water and lead to an unpleasant taste.
This RKIN test package, in collaboration with SimpleLab, includes all required materials to properly collect and submit a sample for certified laboratory testing. Reported results will include a detailed, quantified analysis of tannins.

Informational testing
By default, this broad-based chemical and biological water quality screening package is designed to provide general information about water quality for personal use. Each report includes analysis for specific numerical concentration levels of each contaminant and details about the potential sources and health effects associated with each parameter. SimpleLab does not provide medical advice. For medical concerns always consult a doctor. As an informational water quality test, this package is not meant for state or federal compliance water testing. If you or your organization requires compliance with State or Federal Law, or compliance with a particular regulatory requirement then you must contact the SimpleLab support team and the appropriate certified laboratory facilities will be used to ensure compliance testing requirements are met.
